Indulge in a vibrant Asian-owned food market curated by Auntie's Supply

After seeing some highly-deserved success of its recent event at Stackt Market, Auntie's Supply is back with another sought-after bit of programming in the form of its Queen West Food Market.

Taking place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 1153 Queen St. W., the food market will turn the parking lot into a buzzing culinary hub. Packed to the rafters with delicious food, this event is a celebration of the diversity of culinary talents present in Toronto and aims to showcase the delectable offerings of Asian-owned businesses.

Founded by Christina Pack, Auntie's Supply is an Asian-owned superette (or small supermarket) that curates snacks and ingredients for Asian millennials, or anyone looking to expand their horizons. Pack is using her platform and business to help the Asian community recreate some of their fondest memories — while creating new ones through the process.

The Queen West Food Market aims to aid in both the creation and re-creation of memories with its dazzling array of vendors poised to curate a feast for the senses. The vendors to look out for can be found below:

Sunnyside Waffles: Dive into the delectable world of Mochi waffle sandwiches, combining Asian and European influences to create a unique and satisfying treat.

Milk + Malai: Experience the fusion of Filipino and Indian flavours in their small-batch ice cream, handcrafted with love and inspired by traditional recipes.

Joey Seed Crisps: Enjoy the perfect crunch with these Nordic seed crackers, made with organic super seeds and offering a delightful burst of flavour in every bite.

Knead it Baked: Delight your sweet tooth with the delectable creations from this Filipino-Jamaican virtual bakery, offering a unique twist on classic baked goods.

"We carefully selected these four vendors for our first Queen West Market because they provide a great representation of the Asian-Canadian experience which is a mix of influence from living in North America, as well as leveraging Asian flavours,” Pack said. "From snacks by Joey Seed Crisps to mouthwatering waffle sandwiches and irresistible desserts from Milk + Malai and Knead it Baked, visitors can expect a day filled with exceptional Asian eats in one convenient location."

The market is an opportunity for Asian-owned businesses to showcase the myriad of products they offer and for patrons to support local establishments while indulging at the same time. So whether you're craving a quick (but unique) snack, a refreshing ice cream treat or even a decadent dessert, Queen West Food Market will be THE spot come Saturday.
