Anyone seeking out nutrient-rich, colourful eats will soon have a new spot on Queen Street West to satisfy their cravings. Known for its bowls, wraps and smoothies, imPerfect Fresh Eats will soon bring a fresh approach to mealtime to a new location inside CAMH at 1051 Queen Street West.
Founded by brother and sister duo May and Jeff Dang in 2019, imPerfect Fresh Eats was born from the belief "that healthy eating should be something everyone can enjoy every single day." According to the company's website, the team "set out to create a place where people can reconnect with their love for food in a delicious, sensible, convenient and positive way."
Beyond enticing lunch crowds with fresh, healthy options, the Dangs also wanted to address the issue of food waste through their new company. To do so, every menu item at imPerfect Fresh Eats is made with imperfect produce sourced from the Ontario Food Terminal. From crooked carrots and misshapen potatoes to undersized produce, as long as it's fresh, it's fair game for the Dangs. Produce that others see as waste is the Dangs' treasure. The siblings' devotion to saving imperfect produce from landfills means less waste, lower costs to consumers and also helps support local farmers.
The menu at the new location will mirror the one at imPerfect Fresh Eats’ other two locations, with a broad selection of signature bowls, wraps, smoothie bowls and smoothies. Bowls and wraps come brimming with grains, assorted vegetables, and marinated proteins, with options including kalbi beef, chipotle chicken, lemongrass tofu and garlic butter shrimp. Popular build-your-own bowls and wraps will also be on offer.
Real fruit smoothies are made without additional sugars and range from the Beet Good, with beets, banana, apple and ginger, to the Thai Mango, with mango, banana, coconut milk and coconut flakes. If your goal is to eat the rainbow, one of these vivid sippers is guaranteed to get you halfway there.
With two locations and five more on the way — including the new Queen Street West store and a Danforth location — imPerfect Fresh Eats is bringing its perfect solution to imperfect food to several corners of the city.
