Milkshake lovers in the York region are in for a (chilled) treat as the popular Holy Shakes opened a Newmarket location just last week. Located near the Upper Canada Mall inside Market & Co. – an artisanal food hall with dozens of grab 'n go options as well as restaurants -- Holy Shakes offers both classic flavours and unique spins, including cookie dough jars, FreakShakes (topped with cake) and Indian-style shakes, all with dozens of customizable toppings to make each shake unlike the next.
Like the original Brampton location, Holy Shakes Newmarket is a joint venture with the Kathi Roll Express, a restaurant and food truck specializing in Indian street food. Holy Shakes gourmet fusion milkshakes pair perfectly with TKRE's offerings, including butter chicken mac and cheese, Punjabi tacos, and of course, various types of kathi rolls (a flatbread known as paratha with various fillings).
Even as the temperature begins to drop, Holy Shakes' wildly fun and flavourful creations will continue to draw crowds looking to find some of the most aesthetically pleasing drinks in the GTA.
