After the Halloween decorations are all packed up, there are only a few things left on the to-do list before the year wraps up: going shopping for fir trees, defrosting Mariah Carey and, of course, reveling in the many holiday-themed pop-ups that Toronto has to offer.
For those who celebrate, throw on your ugliest Christmas sweaters and surround yourself with festive decor as you sip on some cleverly-crafted holiday libations served in holiday-themed drinkware at the return of Miracle, which is making its festive return to Toronto. Featuring kitschy, over-the-top holiday decor and festive drinks, the bar instantly makes one feel like they're part of Santa's Village up at the North Pole.
Miracle Toronto has been an instant holiday tradition since arriving on Queen Street in 2018. Since then it has popped up at various locations throughout the city. This year, it will be marking its territory at 875 Bloor Street West, home of Third Place Toronto and just steps away from Civil Liberties.
In light of the holiday season and imbibing the spirit of giving, $1 from each drink sold at Miracle will be donated to Nellie's Shelter, an organization providing shelter, education and advocacy for women and children in the GTA.
As for the drinks, patrons will get a chance to choose from 11 Christmas-themed cocktails, like a "Snowball Old-Fashioned," "Santa's Little Helper" and even "Grandma Got Run Over By A T-Rex." While it is unknown to this date if the last drink is based on true events, it sure sounds worth a try, especially for being served out a dinosaur tiki cup. All drinks have been created by the team at the bespoke Civil Liberties bar.
In the latest addition to its holiday revelry, Miracle will also host drag shows in partnership with VisionDrag, making it a one-stop-shop to watch your local queens, rejoice in the holiday spirit and gossip about the ugly sweaters everyone is wearing.
The drag shows will take place on three separate dates: Nov. 19, Dec. 3 and Dec. 17. Tickets are available for purchase here.
One thing is for certain, there will be no dearth of holiday-themed activities to do around Toronto, for this bar is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the festivities that the city has to offer. All we ask from you is to keep your eyes and ears open as the city is just about to come alive with the incoming ho-ho-holiday spirit!
Starting Nov. 18 until Dec. 31, Miracle Toronto will pop up from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Friday and from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The bar will be housed at 875 Bloor Street West, home of Third Place Toronto.
