A new rooftop patio just popped up in Toronto and it's only here for a limited time.
Sky Flower rooftop patio is a tropical getaway with spectacular views of the city's skyline and an Asian fusion menu curated by Master Chef and R&D's co-owner, Eric Chong. The acclaimed chef incorporates the flavours of Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine into a simple and approachable menu that features elevated BBQ comfort foods.
From Kalbi beef tacos with kimchi on a crispy corn tortilla and Sichuan-inspired roasted bone marrow to gochujang grilled octopus and tom yum salmon, the fusion menu boasts a wide variety of options for every palate.
The menu includes several vegetarian options such as the roasted beet salad with miso butterscotch and Sichuan street corn as well as others that can be modified to vegan, including the Vietnamese lettuce wraps.
In addition to an impressive food menu, the rooftop offers a refined cocktail list boasting tropical and citrusy cocktails. Order the Bananarama, made with banana infused rum or the Skyflower, a light and bright vodka-based drink with makrut lime syrup, cucumber and basil, topped with an edible carnation.
The drinks menu also includes familiar favourites such as an Aperol spritz and Pimm's cup and pitchers of mojitos, margaritas and red and white sangria and bottle service.
Adorned with palm trees and colourful tropical flowers, the patio exudes a hidden oasis vibe, complemented by the stunning floral mural painted by known Toronto street graffiti artist Gabriel Kizmet.
At night, the rooftop patio transforms into an intimate and undeniably picturesque space with the city's night sky serving as the perfect backdrop for Sky Flower's colourful mood lighting and lanterns.
Sky Flower is open Monday to Friday from 5 p.m.-2 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. and is located at 292 College Street.
