Known for souffle-style pancakes (after all, Fuwa Fuwa translates to “fluffy, fluffy” in Japanese), the chain offers cloud-like, subtly-sweet creations topped with everything from matcha white chocolate sauce to raspberries and caramelized bananas. Other menu items include macarons, cream-stuffed roll cakes, cheesecakes, crêpes, cupcakes, cookies, pudding and assorted specialty lattes and frappés.
With a menu that never veers from sugary delights, Fuwa Fuwa’s foray into croffle territory isn’t a stretch. A portmanteau of “croissant” and “waffle,” the croffle is a buttery, hybrid pastry that’s crisp on the outside, tender within, and a perfect vessel for an array of tasty toppings.
