Food Truck’N is kicking off their seventh year of the popular food truck series with a curbside market in the Markland Wood neighbourhood, opening this weekend.
However, they’ll be doing things differently this year due to the current health crisis and lockdown. Patrons are asked to arrive on site and park in a designated spot. From there, you’ll be able to scan a QR code where you can order and pay securely from the safety of your own vehicle. When the food is ready, it will be brought out to your car without you having to leave.
This weekend’s edition will kick off with four featured trucks: The Funky Patacon, Mustache Burger, Alijandro’s Kitchen and Gourmet Guyz. You’ll be able to order from a wide array of menu items that include massive burgers, Middle Eastern-Mexican fusion, lobster poutine and even gluten-free plantain concoctions.
The Food Truck’N Curbside Market will be located at 4258 Bloor St. West in Etobicoke, Ont. They’ll be open starting this Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Because of safety protocols, they’re not permitting walk-up orders just yet. Be sure to arrive early in case parking spots fill up quickly.
