Feast on old-school eats at Dave’s Genuine Jewish Deli

Toronto is filled with many cuisines, but one that it doesn't pay enough attention to is the Jewish deli. They exist, but they're not as prevalent as they should be and so, we're extra excited about Daves Genuine Deli, the new spot for house-made, hand crafted, old-school deli eats. They've got everything from Montreal smoked meat to hand-cut fries, graciously served with the best pickles out there, Marty's.

The man, Dave Isen himself, has worked in many restaurants across Canada and the US. Back in 2000, he moved back to Toronto – starting at Jack Astor's group, moving to e11even, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, and eventually landed at Mill Street Brewpub locations Ontario-wide. No matter where he was, he's kept his cooking consistent, delicious, and left people wanting more.

If you're wondering what's on the menu, look no further. They've got house-cured and smoked pastrami on grilled rye with sauerkraut, classic Reubens, and even a fan-favourite, the Beef Dip. Each is available with fresh, hand-cut fries, slaw and a perfect pickle.

As some of you may know, no Jewish deli is complete without a bowl of Matzo Ball soup. The delightful pillowy goodness dunked in the delicious, homemade broth can cure any ailment––from a stuffy nose to a terrible breakup. Don't believe us? Ask any Bubbie.

The goodness doesn't stop at their weekly menus, Dave's Genuine also offers catering of events of any size. Whether it's celebrating a birthday or a Bar Mitzvah, or mourning at a Shiva, Dave's has got you covered. So what are you waiting for? Place an order online for delivery, you won't be disappointed.
