Dufflet has officially closed the doors on it's 2638 Yonge Street location and will not be reopening post-pandemic.
Since 1975, Dufflet Rosenberg began baking from her home kitchen for Cafe Cow. Since then, Dufflet has been synonymous with creative desserts. Whether it's decadent wedding cakes, pastries or the perfect casual dessert for a summer BBQ, Dufflet's treats have graced the homes of almost every Torontonian. Her creations are colourful, unique and always delicious. Dufflet desserts use no hydrogenated fats/oils, artificial flavours, colours or added preservatives.
Dufflet Rosenberg opened her first bakery on Queen Street West in 1982. The Yonge Street location has been open since 2002. Over the years, these bakeries have become staples in their neighbourhoods for anyone after the signature quality that a Dufflet dessert brings. Now, you can find classic Dufflet cakes in many grocery stores across Toronto as well as her certified gluten-free and plant-based dessert collections.
While the uptown neighbourhood will surely miss these decadent desserts, anyone missing the authentic design-forward Dufflet cafe experience and the delicious treats, can take solace in the fact that the Queen Street location remains open and is only a quick ride away. Otherwise, you can find many of her cakes at grocery stores such as Loblaws, Fiesta Farms and many other fine food stores across North America.
