Dining at Donna's is comparable to a wine-fuelled dinner party at your cool friend's bright and eclectic apartment. Ever-changing homestyle meals, fun and funky wines and a lively soundtrack that keeps you coming back for more. This Lansdowne gem made quite a stir when it came on the scene back in 2018. From non-fussy lunches of French ham on crusty baguette and roast beef on marble rye bagels to spicy spring radishes dipped in smoked cheese and sole doused in romesco -- I couldn't get enough.
Unfortunately, due to the escalation of the pandemic, Donna's made the tough decision to close the restaurant back in March. Well, thankfully, Donna's is back and ready to give the whole takeout thing a go.
The restaurant announced yesterday, via Instagram, that they will now be open for takeout Monday to Friday, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Starting Monday, customers can preorder from a small menu for next day pickup. Limited quantities will be available and preorders can be made on the restaurant's website from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. the night before.

The menu is comprised of a selection of sandwiches, salads, baked goods, wine, beer and merch. All the favourite sandwiches are still on offer, such as the roast beef sandwich, shrimp salad sandwich and Donna's ham sandwich.
