DineOutTO plans to boost the food industry’s economic recovery

A new initiative from the City of Toronto and Destination Toronto will support and revive the city's culinary scene in the coming weeks. From September 23 through October 30, DineOutTO will serve as an opportunity for businesses in the food community to get back on track financially through targeted online promotion.

Restaurants can register for free now and the site will soon be populated with unique culinary experiences, special offers, and "must-try" signature dish recommendations for diners to explore and enjoy. The experiences will be wide-ranging, with the hope that businesses as diverse as food trucks and fine dining institutions will participate and demonstrate the impressive scope of the city's food offerings.

The program intends to showcase Toronto's diverse food culture by responding to restaurants' critical needs. As we approach a pivotal seasonal shift away from the possibility of comfortable patio dining, DineOutTO will support a safe and successful reopening plan for businesses that have not yet been able to find their footing in a rapidly changing landscape.

More information will be added to the website in the coming weeks as the program gets ready to launch next week. Here's hoping this new initiative will help save several Toronto's beloved food destinations!
