Emboldened by the weather and inspired by the many bounties of the tropics, Delta Hotels Toronto has transformed its rooftop terrace into a little slice of paradise.
In partnership with Flor de Caña — a brand of premium rum manufactured in Nicaragua — Bar Caña at The Roof will act as a secret hideaway where one can enjoy stunning vistas of the urban skyline combined with the lush feeling of an island paradise.
Suppose the setting wasn't enough for you to be sold on the tropical theme at hand. In that case, the uniquely-crafted cocktail list, inspired by fruits like guanabana, passionfruit and lahara, will surely transport you to another land where all you'll want to do is relax, take in the sights and live life just that little bit slower.
Bar Caña offers an al fresco dining experience with seafood-focused sharing plates, taco platters to appease the table and fresh seasonal salads. If that isn't enough to satiate you, there are also Latin American favourites including cebiche (not a typo), pollo asado, steak with chimichurri and coctel de camarones.
Bringing an even more exotic twist to The Roof is Flor de Caña, which is sustainably sourced and naturally aged at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano in Nicaragua. The newly transformed rooftop oasis pays homage to the history, natural beauty and vibrant culture that inspired the ru while maintaining its classic metropolitan/urban vibe.
“We wanted to develop a casual experience that brought relaxed, laidback island living to the hustle and bustle of Toronto’s downtown core," Olivia Fernandes, marketing lead at Delta Hotels Toronto, said. "We are proud to re-introduce our rooftop space and allow locals and visitors alike to escape to paradise while staying in the city."
With bottle service served in a treasure chest, weekend boozy brunch being introduced this month and live music every night, Bar Caña is surely vying for the title of THE place to be this summer
Reservations are available via OpenTable. Bar Caña at The Roof at 75 Lower Simcoe St. will operate Wednesday-Sunday 4 p.m.-11 p.m.
