What is now an imperative partnership for restaurant owners, third-party apps have blossomed into a consistent and substantial source of orders. Especially in the midst of a global pandemic. Yet, between juggling incoming orders from services like Uber Eats, DoorDash and SkipTheDishes, while simultaneously fulfilling takeout and dine-in customers, restaurants are bombarded with one too many pipelines. That's where Deliverect comes into play.
Founded by Zhong Xu (CEO), Jan Hollez (CTO), Jelte Vrijhoef (CIO) and Jerome Laredo (CRO), Deliverect is a Saas company that simplifies online food delivery management. The startup from Belgium has already amassed $65 million in funding and is on a mission to streamline food orders.
The software integrates all existing online and third-party sales channels (like Uber Eats and SkipTheDishes) into one simplified and organized channel, enabling small business owners to focus on operating their restaurant (not managing the influx of orders that come in daily).
Each online order is funnelled into a restaurant's existing POS system, so orders no longer have to be copied manually and owners are able to see a clear overview of all sales made. Not only is Deliverect helpful in tracking sales but orders are automatically pushed straight to the kitchen and printed in a standard format, enhancing the lines of communication between management, FOH and BOH.
With a multitude of customers, from large chains like KFC and Chipotle to small local businesses like COPS Doughnuts, RUDY, Black Camel and Ramen Isshin, Deliverect is becoming a vital tool to help restaurants stay organized.
When forced to reimagine their business model in the face of a citywide lockdown, Ramen Isshin utilized Deliverect's services and turned their situation into an opportunity.
"Thanks to Deliverect managing our delivery platforms, we're able to be in business and focus on getting our food to our customers at home," Jason Matsubara, Owner at Ramen Isshin, explains.
As the company continues to expand (they just opened a new office downtown Toronto last week, going from a space for seven people to a fully equipped custom-built floor for 70+) expect to see more business owners turn to Deliverect for online ordering solutions.
In honour of restaurateurs, staff, food couriers and anyone that has helped people enjoy delicious food within the safety of their homes, Deliverect is celebrating International Food Delivery Day on September 8 by sponsoring a free dozen donuts for every delivery driver that picks up an order at COPS Toronto (Matilda and Adelaide locations) until supplies last. Each driver will receive a voucher they can redeem in-store.
Order from COPS Doughnuts through Uber Eats or DoorDash on September 8 to help celebrate International Food Delivery Day and give back to the delivery drivers that have kept us all well fed these past 16 months.
