Dance, drink, and grab your Burger Drops at tomorrow’s legendary DDBX Block Party

After taking a 3-year break, DDBX is making a stylish comeback this Saturday with a lineup of live DJs, drinks, and drool-worthy party bites supplied by Burger Drops, Buckshot Kitchen, and Rex’s ice cream.

Formerly known as Dudebox, DDBX started in 2007 as a series of house parties in a Spadina Avenue loft. Today, their for-charity nightlife events are some of the most anticipated parties from the underground scene.

According to Burger Drops, DDBX is “known to throw hype parties in weird places and give all the profits to charity.”

In collaboration with It’s OK*, a non-profit organization and venue for Toronto’s new and emerging artists, this year’s DDBX Block Party will take place at an empty parking lot in downtown Toronto.

For the Burger Drops team, DDBX’s initiatives have deserved support since before their burgers had their own standalone shop.

"Saturday will be our third time supporting our friends at DDBX and It's OK*,” says Kat Gaskin, Director of Branding & Community at Burger Drops. “DDBX's contribution to Toronto's underground party scene has redefined what we consider to be a ‘good time’.”

At tomorrow’s Block Party, Burger Drops will be serving up cheeseburgers and veggie burgers in singles and doubles, chicken sandwiches, crinkle fries, and the latest addition to their menu: chicken nuggets with a selection of tasty house-made dips—the perfect menu to complement those daytime party vibes.

“Think obscure venues, crowds of joyful people, bass-heavy beats, flowing beverages, and sizzling grills—it all makes for quite the gathering. Plus, they volunteer their time and donate all proceeds to charity. They're good people doing good things for others.”

Party for a good cause at the DDBX x It’s OK* Block Party tomorrow, July 23 from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The dog-friendly event will be held at the Augusta Green P Parking Lot on 468 Queen St W., where Burger Drops, jerk chicken by Buckshot Kitchen, and ice cream from Rex’s await. You can still get your tickets today by visiting their official ticketing page.
