Mother Cocktail Bar is running a refreshing pop-up event all summer that tequila lovers will not want to miss.
DAHLIA by Mother is the newest pop-up venture from Queen West favourite Mother Cocktail Bar, inspired by the national flower of Mexico. The pop-up will feature tequila-based drinks accompanied by a selection of delicious Mexican-inspired dishes.
Together with Tequila Patrón, the team at Mother Cocktail Bar has created a small menu with five innovative drinks using new techniques they've learned throughout this past year––the Tierra, Manifest Destiny, The People's Book, Queen of Ales and Life of Bee are the new cocktails that are currently being featured on the new, focused menu.
The drinks, which can be enjoyed on their lively patio, combine fruits such as banana, peach and even avocado, with ingredients like green tea, oat milk, and rose water among others, for a blend of unique and complex flavours.
To complete the Mexican experience, diners can enjoy their drinks with dishes such as tortas and tacos.
They don't take reservations on Fridays and Saturdays, but customers can reserve their seats any other day of the week by emailing the bar directly at the address in their Instagram bio.
Mother Cocktail Bar is located at 874 Queen Street West. They will be open every day this summer except for Mondays. Their operation hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. (last call for food at 11:30 p.m.), Thursday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. (last call for food at 12:30 a.m.) and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. (last call for food at 10:30 p.m.).
