Chelsea Donnelly, John Markou and Adarsan Ramachandran are a group of three friends who wanted to open up a doughnut shop for years. This was the year they knew it was time to open up Frenchies Doughnuts. The three of them loved the concept of made to order where people get to choose what goes on their doughnuts. Donnelly shared, "we decided to make our vision become a reality and that's how Frenchie's came to be!" Plus their mascot is their beloved dog Mocha who is also an important team member.
Their doughnuts are light and fluffy cake doughnuts that can be topped with glazes made with real fruit and Madagascar vanilla beans. You can customize your own by choosing your desired toppings and flavours or choose from their 'Frenchie's favourites.' They take pride in their variety of freshly made toppings and encourage guests to combine their doughnuts with their signature Frenchie's coffee! Donnelly says, "Who doesn't love a warm, fresh, made-to-order doughnut?" They also serve unique doughnut flavours like 'Breakfast of Champions' made with maple dip, bacon and two egg candies, 'Pink Champange' made with strawberry dipped, champagne drizzle and two champagne gummy bears, 'Tropical Strawberry' made with strawberry dip, shredded and toasted coconut and lime drizzle.
Donnelly shared doughnuts have always been a passion of theirs. They went to school at Humber for the baking course and after selling their previous restaurant they were running, they looked for an opportunity to open a storefront location. Frenchies Doughnuts is a full-time job for all three of the team members as they are passionate about sharing their love for doughnuts with the city of Toronto!
