Toronto's beloved mini doughnut shop is opening up a new location around the corner from Yorkdale Mall on Feb. 1. Alex White, the founder of COPS and Baddies Toronto, wanted to create a flagship store next to one of the busiest malls in North America. They plan to giveaway 3,011 doughnuts for the grand opening today, Jan. 31, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., all while quantities last. 3011 resonates with their new address––3011 Dufferin Street in North York.
COPS opened in 2018 and has since become Toronto's favourite stop for mini doughnuts. After creating Baddies, the team had their own funny idea to start a doughnut shop that played on the stereotype that cops love their doughnuts. Every week they come out with new flavours that are updated through their Instagram for all of their locations. Since then, through lots of learning and product tweaks, it's evolved into a brand that they plan on taking global.
"Our newest flagship store is an elevated level of design from previous iterations and indicative of the future direction our brand is taking," says Amanda Dindial, director of administration.
The new location will officially open tomorrow, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Follow their social media to stay updated!
