Conspiracy Pizza will be reopening in a new space this month, just minutes away from their previous location on Wicksteed Avenue.
The beloved pizza spot will be sharing the storefront with Churnt Up and Phamily Eats, two local businesses known for their premium handcrafted ice cream and beef patties, respectively. According to Dan Rios—the owner of Conspiracy Pizza—he outgrew the original space that started his business back in 2017, hence the new forthcoming location.
Rios has over 10 years of experience working at some of the city’s most highly-regarded restaurants, like Caplansky’s Deli, Milagro Cantina and the Carbon Bar, before venturing out on his own.
Since then, Rios has been slinging non-traditional pies that are topped with unique ingredient combinations inspired by dishes from all around the world. For example, the “Halifax” is takes from the donair––a regional delicacy––while the “Bay of Pigs” is inspired by the Cubano sandwich, and consists of pickles and mustard.
Although these toppings may seem unusual, Rios is able to make his pizzas delicious through seasonal ingredients, a thin and crispy crust using Italian pizza flour and smoked meats made in-house including their brisket, bacon and ham.
Pizza isn’t the only thing they have on the menu either––they also feature smoked chicken wings, salads and new menu items that will be introduced soon.
Conspiracy Pizza is slated to open at the beginning of the month at 858 Eglinton Avenue East in Leaside for curbside pickup and delivery.
