Cherished spot for Filipino eats is back at a temporary home

After closing down at the end of March, beloved Filipino spot Tala has found a temporary home with their big sibling, Tinuno.

The restaurant, known for their extravagant Kamayan Feasts in a pizza box, had been pushed out of their spot on Dundas Street West near McCaul Street due to plans to redevelop the site.

Although, the break proved to not be long, as they have now merged with Tinuno, their sister restaurant, to keep the good eats coming.

Tala will only be in Tinuno temporarily, while their search for a new space is currently ongoing. The restaurant had opened up towards the beginning of the pandemic, so they had never been able to welcome guests to dine in––something they hope to do at their next home.

You can order Tala through Uber Eats and DoorDash. Additionally, Tala does their own local delivery on select days to a handful of locations across the GTA. More information on delivery dates can be found on their Instagram––consider getting your food delivered by the restaurant directly to help support local business.

Tala is operating out of Tinuno at 31 Howard Street in the St. James Town neighbourhood.
