Originally known as Globally Local has announced they will now rebrand as Odd Burger.
Globally Local was Canada's first vegan fast food chain that first launched in 2014, quickly growing in popularity with their extensive menu of burgers, wraps, wings, desserts, shakes and much more. Now with their next phase of business, they felt the time was right to evaluate their brand and find a new way to connect with people who still have not tried their brand of plant-based foods––and as the pandemic gears down, they took a massive leap in their marketing and brand identity.
Globally Local says that the word "odd" is something to be proud of, since it means to be different and think differently from everyone else. They pride themselves in their ability to push for a sustainable food system that is kind to animals and the planet. This way, the team believes that Odd Burger can be a global brand that will change fast food forever.
Currently, all of their new locations that are planning to open this summer will display the new name and look––their current locations in Toronto and Windsor will slowly transition in the next few months. Soon, their existing social handles and website will also switch over to odd burger.com.
In April 2021, Globally Local Fast Food became the worlds first publicly-traded vegan fast food company. They made their debut on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol GBLY. This means their publicly traded parent company, Globally Local Technologies Inc (TSXV: GBLY) will also change their name to Odd Burger Corporation under the ticker ODD. It it set to change around July 5, 2021. They also have plans to expand rapidly, with over 20 more locations across North America in the works.
