Canada's annual poutine festival returns for its ninth year

The world’s largest poutine festival is back and better than ever. La Poutine Week, presented by Saputo, has landed all across Canada with over 700 participating restaurants, making this ninth edition the biggest one yet.

Taking place from February 1 to 7 in Toronto, this week-long event has more than 80 venues create their mouthwatering take on this classic Canadian dish.

These restaurants are going way beyond a mountain of French fries, cheese curds and gravy by offering unique creations like the Dirty Poutine topped with mushroom gravy, jalapeños, scotch bonnet ranch and eight-ounce boneless Buffalo bites at The Dirty Bird Chicken and Waffles.

Other concoctions include the Japanese Curry Poutine at Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken, Insomnia’s Memphis Poutine with mushroom gravy and chipotle pulled pork and Dope as Duck’s Classic Loaded Bacon Poutine.

Since dine-in is not permitted, La Poutine Week has partnered up with SkipTheDishes, where you can order these creations for pickup or delivery.

Not only will you be supporting local restaurants through Canada’s beloved dish but also a great cause. For the third consecutive year, a dollar for every poutine sold will go towards Anorexia and Bulimia Québec (ANEB).

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to La Poutine Week’s website for the full lineup of participating restaurants across the city.
