Juicy Dumpling, known for their incredibly cheap dumpling fare, has opened their second location on Yonge Street near Eglinton Avenue East.
Their first location, located at Dragon City Mall in Chinatown, boasts delicious xiaolongbao for an affordable price and service as quick as a fast-food chain. These characteristics are expected to directly translate to their new Midtown location––as their setup, menu and style will be the same.
Xiaolongbao, commonly referred to as soup dumplings, are traditional Chinese dumplings said to have originated in Shanghai, China. They are filled with steaming hot soup and pork, making it the perfect dish to enjoy this winter.
The best part? It costs as low as $2.99. 🥟
For this reason along with many others, Juicy Dumpling has developed a sort of cult-following––their patrons have fallen in love with not just their dumplings, but the inexpensive price.
The restaurant has regularly updated their eager following on social media, flaunting two bright-red signs at the new storefront.
Having had their soft opening on November 12, Juicy Dumpling faces the challenge of operating a new store in the middle of Toronto’s recent lockdown restrictions.
Although, with their loyal fanbase and excitement of their new expansion, they seem confident in their ability to thrive at their new spot.
Customers can look forward to a half dozen mini soup dumplings with pork for just $2.99, or $5.99 for pork and crab.
For an extra dollar, you can have them pan seared, adding that extra layer of texture and flavour to the dumpling.
Juicy Dumpling’s second location is open now, located at 2510 Yonge Street in Midtown.
