Popular plant-based restaurant chain Fresh announced yesterday that they are gearing up to open the first Hamilton, Ontario location.
The new Hamilton restaurant will mark the 11th location for the vegan chain, with eight locations scattered across Toronto, one in Mississauga and one in Los Angeles, California.
The menu will be similar to other locations and offer everything from wraps, bowls, pizza, burgers, salads and their selection of cold-pressed juices -- all of which are 100% plant-based, organic and made entirely in-house.
Fresh has a longstanding history in the city and is often recognized as a pioneer for the plant-based movement in Toronto, which 26 years later has earned Toronto a title as one of the most vegan-friendly cities in the world.
The first location of Fresh opened in 1995 on Bloor Street as a 50-seat vegan restaurant and juice bar by founder Ruth Tal, who has gone on to build a brand of modern, health-focused and delicious plant-based food.
The new location will operate as a pickup and takeout restaurant only and is slated to officially open its doors this Friday, May 21. Fresh Hamilton is located at 151 York Blvd, Hamilton, Ontario.
