This Thursday, Jan. 20, Barberian's Steak House will be home to a low-barrier vaccination clinic, in support of those working in the restaurant and hospitality industries. Made possible through partnering with University Health Network (UHN), the pop-up will be offering first, second and third doses, with no appointment, proof of address or identification required.
In a press release from Jan. 14, owner Arron Barberian shared his reasoning behind opening his restaurant's doors to host the vaccination clinic, stating that restaurants play a role in contributing to the solution to these current times.
"The only way for society to end the unprecedented hardship of COVID-19 on restaurant and hospitality workers, suppliers, and restaurant owners is to lower the hospital ICU load," said Barberian. "This clinic is a small but essential step in that direction. The sooner we are all vaccinated, the sooner our doors will open. The truth is we can't wait to feed you!"
Located at 7 Elm Street, UHN at Barberian's Steak House will be administering Pfizer doses for those aged 18 to 29 and Moderna for anyone 30 or older, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. this Thursday.
