Food trucks have been popping up a lot more recently as businesses continue to navigate through the pandemic, and Thai Street Food by Bangkok Garden is one of them.
As Bangkok Garden, one of the city’s first authentic and oldest Thai restaurants, is having to deal with closed doors as a result of indoor dining restrictions and high delivery partner fees, they’ve come up with a solution to launch a food truck in order to make ends meet.
This new food truck is parked right outside the historic building that houses the restaurant on Elm Street, along with a small fire pit and cozy lights on the patio to keep guests warm. Bringing your own blanket is strongly encouraged for those who want to spend a little more time on their new winter patio.
Diners will be able to enjoy chef William Thetsombandith’s exclusive new menu featuring reimagined Thai eats like Thai poutine topped with red curry sauce, bite-sized chicken pad Thai noodle rolls, curry chicken wraps and deep-fried ice cream for dessert.
The truck is open from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays to Fridays and 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekends. They’re also expected to stay for the winter season.
