In a time when there is an increasing demand for ridesharing and food delivery services, Facedrive is changing the transportation service model with a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.
Facedrive, a Canadian-born company, was the first to offer green transportation solutions, by giving users a choice between electric vehicles, hybrids and conventional cars in the city and the GTA. The company's vision is to become the one-stop-shop platform for eco-conscious and socially responsible users.
The green rideshare service recently announced in May that it had entered into a binding term sheet with Foodora Canada. This popular food courier service pulled out of the Canadian market during the pandemic. This past week Facedrive announced to its users that they will now be offering food delivery in Toronto and parts of the GTA.
Facedrive Foods is putting people and the planet first with their new food delivery initiative. In hopes of reducing the collective carbon footprint, with every delivery made, the company pledges to donate a portion of their profits to plant trees in Canada. In just a year, Facedrive has already planted 3,500 trees in Ontario.
The eco-friendly food delivery initiative has already been launched in Scarborough and downtown Toronto and hopes to expand further into the GTA soon. So next time you're fiending for a snack or you're looking to order in, consider supporting the local business that's putting the planet first.
