The Aloette Picnic brings together some of the beloved Toronto spot's most notable dishes, packed perfectly upon reception to carry over to your favourite grassy area. Beginning today, you can order this generous offering through TasteToronto's virtual pop-up market, Dabble.
The menu features a classic Aloette experience you can enjoy wherever you are, beginning with their famous cheese bread with roasted yeasted butter. Alongside is their indulgent steak tartare, a hearty beet salad and a fresh, creamy burrata.
What's a picnic without pie? Additionally, a perfect slice of Aloette's revered lemon pie will also be included––a perfect finishing touch to a picnic in the park. Tangy and filled with flavour, the pie is topped with a gorgeous mountain of toasted meringue.
Aloette is rated as one of the best restaurants in the country, and is the younger sibling of the nationally-acclaimed Alo, which is located right above the restaurant. This past year, Aloette has been working hard to bring their latest venture to life––a takeout concept that is set to open this Spring.
The new takeout outpost will be located in Liberty Village and will not offer any dine-in service, fully embracing what Solomon Mason, Aloette's chef de cuisine, says is the future of restaurants in Toronto––takeout.
