Burgers and Fries Forever (BFF) has officially launched their Squid Game themed burger and poutine in Toronto, and it's loaded with delicious Korean-inspired ingredients.
Known for their creative burger and fry duos, it only makes sense that BFF would launch a "Red Light Green Light Duo" inspired by the hit Netflix show that's got everyone dressing up and playing real life Squid Games. Rest assured, biting into one of these bad boys is just as––if not more––thrilling than watching the show itself.
The burger is made with a juicy AAA Angus smashed pattie, a deep-fried Korean beef rice hotdog and (the infamous) Dalgona candied beef bacon. The "Red Light" comes from the salty kimchi ketchup, and the "Green Light" comes from the umami flavoured green onion salad.
The poutine is made up of all the same ingredients, but naturally they're served on a bed of fresh hand cut fries, cheese curds and veggie gravy.
Both items have a balanced combination of sweet, salty, and umami flavours, and have a wonderfully crunchy texture thanks to the Korean rice hotdog, and Dalgona bacon.
