Pulp Fiction fans, rejoice––there is a new Pulp Fiction-themed pop-up happening in Toronto this weekend.
The Heartbreak Chef will be doing this pop-up in collaboration with local Toronto artist, Moon Koncepts. For one day only this Saturday, July 10, they’ll be doing everything centred around the 1994 Quentin Tarantino cult classic.
The menu will be curated by Jerome Robinson, the Heartbreak Chef himself, and will feature items mentioned in the film, most notably the "Royale with Cheese", which will be a classic cheeseburger with the fixins. They will also be doing Bad Motherf***er Fries and $5 milkshakes to enjoy alongside your burger too. Robinson will be grilling up front and will leave the interior space for people to come check out the artwork.
The Pulp Fiction themed art will be from local artist Dylan Moon, commonly known as Moon Koncepts. Moon made a name for himself designing and building custom homes and workspaces throughout Toronto. He’s done some artwork for The Heartbreak Chef in the past as well. Customers will be able to buy some artwork, as well as merchandise like tees and hats as well.
The popup will be located at The Heartbreak Chef at 823 Dundas Street West, but will be dubbed as the "Hawethorne Grill" in relation to the film's famous diner setting. The popup will be for one day only this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Based on previous pop-ups at The Heartbreak Chef, get there early because lineups will likely be long and will have a good chance of selling out well before their slated closing time.
