Hong Kong-style French Toast
10 mins Prep Time
10 mins Cook Time
Hong Kong-style French toast is a twist on the classic French toast. A thick slice of milk bread stuffed with peanut butter (or Nutella or even jam), soaked in milk and an egg mixture, then pan-fried with butter. I mean, It can't get better than this!
The key to having a great French toast is to not over soak or under soak the bread in milk mixture. Make sure you fry them over medium heat, or the outside can burn without cooking inside.
This dish is typically served with condensed milk as a topping, but that is way too sweet for my taste and the next best option is maple syrup! Either way, the result is absolutely tasty and delicious.
