Spicebros, a popular Indian restaurant from Quebec -- with over seven locations -- has finally opened up its first Ontario storefront.
The new Toronto location is on a quest to spice things up and offer the public quick-service Indian food. After finding immense popularity and success in Quebec, Spicebros knew it was time to open up in Toronto, given the food scene and rich culture here.
What sets them apart from other Indian restaurants is that they modernized Indian food by giving it a twist of western cuisine while also keeping it authentic. One of their most popular items is the Frankie roll, which uses a fresh naan made in front of the customer, and you can actually find this item on the streets of India. They also have butter chicken poutine, a Québec classic with the taste of the most popular Indian buttery craving! You can also order a Bro-Go or a Chana Samosa -- the Bro-Go is basically a Pogo, but instead of a hotdog, it's a flavorful kebab underneath a batter, whereas the Chana Samosa is like a chickpea masala dish with a deconstructed samosa with pomegranate seeds.
Their service is also quick, given that most Indian restaurants are traditional sit-down fine dining. They emphasize making their food in front of customers in the open kitchen so that they can see that everything is fresh and clean. Exclusively at the Toronto location, they launched new products called the Punjabi fried chicken and Paw-koras, which is their own spin on chicken pakoras.
