Turn up the heat this Football Sunday with Jalapeño Poppers—a game-day classic that is impossible to resist! Fresh jalapeños are stuffed with a rich, creamy filling made with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and a splash of Muskoka Brewery beer, then topped with crispy bacon. These cheesy, smokey, and spicy poppers are the ultimate finger food to add to your Super Bowl spread, and they pair perfectly with a cold Muskoka brew.
Directions
Jalapeño Poppers
5 Steps
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare the jalapeños by slicing them in half lengthwise and removing the seeds.
Step 2
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and caramelize for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and fragrant.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, caramelized onions, and Tread Lightly. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Step 4
Arrange the jalapeño halves on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Fill each jalapeño generously with the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with additional shredded cheddar cheese and top with crispy bacon crumbles.
Step 5
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the jalapeños are tender. Serve warm and enjoy!
