Brownie Pie

Brownie pie is a combination of a flaky pie crust with a gooey, chocolaty brownie filling. I don't think that I need to give more details about this dessert!
It's an easy dessert to make and it absolutely satisfies your sweet tooth. You can make this pie with a homemade pie crust but also feel free to use a store-bought one. Either way, it will taste amazing.
The key to a perfectly evenly baked pie crust is to blind-bake it at first; otherwise, the bottom of the pie will be uncooked and soggy.
I recommend serving this dessert warm and if you want to be a little extra, top it with ice cream or whipped cream.
Directions
Brownie Pie
8 Steps
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9-inch pie tin with the pie crust.
Step 2
Crimp the edges with a fork or use your fingers to flute the edges. Chill the pie dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3
Line the chilled pie crust with parchment paper. Fill with pie weights or rice. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. Take out of the oven, remove the parchment paper and pie weights. Bake for another 5 minutes. Set aside to cool down.
Step 4
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar and eggs.
Step 5
Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl. Whisk until fully combined.
Step 6
Mix in the chopped chocolate. Pour batter into the pie crust.
Step 7
Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
Step 8
Remove pie from the oven. Cool for 20 minutes before slicing, top with icing sugar and enjoy!
