The Best Khao Soi in Toronto

When I discuss Thai food with my friends, the first dish that comes to mind is pad Thai. Though there's a fondness associated with pad Thai, one of the most underrated dishes is khao soi. Originating in regions of Northern Thailand and Laos, this popular dish has variations across Southeast Asia. The most prevalent version in Toronto consists of egg noodles in a curry with proteins, veggies and usually a display of crispy egg noodles. There are a plethora of options around the city, so be sure to grab one from your local Thai restaurant.

Here are some of the best khao soi in Toronto.

Entertainment District

11 Charlotte St

Khao San Road

The khao soi is this restaurant's signature dish and the rich coconut curry with your choice of protein and perfect egg noodles helps you understand why.

Pai

Possibly the best Thai restaurant in the city, this Northern street food staple is popular for their grabong (butternut squash fritters), pad Thai, and pad grao pao. But the khao soi is easily one of the best with fresh egg noodles immersed in a golden yellow curry topped with items like shrimp, veggie, chicken or their braised beef.
