Revisit your faves and discover new morsels as Eataly launches its Icons of Eataly

This story is sponsored by Eataly.

From gooey and rich to crisp and savoury, sweet and creamy, Italian street food covers an irresistible variety of flavours, textures and cravings. This fall, revisit your faves and discover new morsels as Eataly launches its Icons of Eataly: Street Food program. Designed to highlight the scope and beauty of Italian food as it captivates diners with scores of tantalizing bites, Icons of Eataly is back with new menu items and a special block party you won’t want to miss.

Beloved the world over, street food is a category of destination-worthy fare that needs little introduction. In Italy, where it’s known as cibo da strada, it’s popular from north to south, and ranges from flaky pastries and piping hot arancini to swimmingly fresh fried seafood dressed with little more than juicy squirts of lemon.

This fall, sample some of the best bites Italy has to offer at Icons of Eataly: Street Food. Taking place between September 20th and October 6th, the program will find 20 new foods — from zeppole and bombolone to cuzzetiello Napoletano, or bread rolls boasting hearty fillings — joining the lineup at Eataly’s various locations. In addition, each marketplace will celebrate the occasion with special events designed to teach customers about Italy’s rich culinary history.

Kick off the festivities, on September 20th, at Eataly Sherway’s All-You-Can-Eataly event. The perfect spot to sample some of the team’s newest creations (multiple times, if you like!), this celebration invites guests to sip and snack as they roam through the marketplace to the sounds of animated chatter and lively music.

Then, on September 27th, the team at Eataly Yorkville will host a Street Food Fest, from 5 to 10 p.m. In partnership with TasteToronto, the event will celebrate Italy’s finest street eats while also highlighting local makers. From a list of companies known for their people-pleasing eats, standouts include Bear Steak Sandwiches, Pokito, The Samosarie and Mary's Brigadeiro.

With street food basking in the limelight as summer turns to fall, Eataly’s Icons of Eataly: Street Food program promises a dazzling way to welcome the new season.
